| Hey Schools and Daycares! Do you need a new idea for a field trip? Bring your class to Double A Ranch for an fun "Equine Experience"! When you come to Double A Ranch for a field trip, you class will be able to see how a working Paint Horse ranch and horse boarding facility are ran. They will learn the safety and procedures involved in the everyday ranch life. They will learn how we properly feed horses, care for horses, and clean up after horses. They will see how we properly maintain our facility to keep it as sanitary and safe as possible for the horses and people. The children will be given a demonstration on how we properly groom a horse and will get to participate in the grooming process. They will get to see several different horse breeds and will learn about the colors of the horses. They will also learn the differences between the our different paint patterns: Overo, Tobiano, Tovero, and Solid. They will get to pet some of the horses including the weanling and yearling foals. The field trip will last anywhere from one to two hours depending on the group size. Clothing Requirements: Please have all children wear close toed shoes. No sandals or flip flops will be allowed. Tennis shoes, t-shirts, jeans, tank tops, and shorts are acceptable attire. Cost: $5.00 per child Parent permission forms and school/organization forms must be completed. |
